More than 400 residents attended the sixth annual Job Fair at Brookhaven Town Hall on June 6. The event was organized by the Division of Economic Development and the Brookhaven Business Advisory Council (BBAC). Attendees had the chance to meet with representatives from 96 companies seeking to hire for a variety of positions.

Supervisor Ed Romaine commented, “The BBAC’s Job Fair is a great event for people to find good paying job opportunities in the public and private sector. I commend the BBAC for helping residents to network and meet with company representatives who are actively recruiting candidates for employment.”

Companies participating included Amneal Pharmaceuticals, DiCarlo Distributors, New York Life Insurance, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, People’s United Bank, Speedway LLC, H2M Architecture and Engineers, among others.

The BBAC acts as a business liaison to the Supervisor and Town Board. Its members are business owners and professionals serving voluntarily. The council assists town government by sharing information between officials and businesses, compiling data on local businesses, and running public information programs aimed at educating businesses about outreach efforts and available assistance.

Brookhaven Town Council supports community engagement through events like this job fair. According to its official website, it offers services such as recreational sites and youth support programs to address resident needs. The council also focuses on safety initiatives and encourages involvement in community activities.

Municipal services in Brookhaven are directed toward improving quality of life for residents, with accessible programs across Suffolk County as detailed on the town’s official website.
