The Town of Brookhaven has started its annual Youth Bureau INTERFACE Coat Drive, running from January 9 through February 6. Supervisor Daniel J. Panico announced the event, which aims to collect coat donations for residents in need.
“Each donation to this drive gives the gift of warmth to those in need,” said Supervisor Panico. “The continued success of this program reflects the generosity and compassion of our residents.”
Residents can bring their coat donations to several locations across Brookhaven, including Town Hall in Farmingville, the Highway Department in Coram, Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center in Blue Point, New Village Recreation Center in Centereach, Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mount Sinai, Vehicle Control Building in Patchogue, Parks and Recreation Department in Centereach, and Village of Lake Grove Hall and Rec. Building.
For more information about drop-off sites or the program itself, residents are encouraged to call the Youth Bureau at 631-451-8026 or visit brookhavenny.gov.
INTERFACE is a collaboration between individuals, businesses, and the Town of Brookhaven that seeks to support less fortunate residents by providing goods and services and addressing social issues. The program includes around 100 corporations, not-for-profit agencies, and community organizations working together.
Brookhaven Town Council provides various services such as recreational sites and youth programs for its community. These efforts are part of broader initiatives focused on resident well-being and engagement through different events and support systems (official website). The council also emphasizes responsible development and quality-of-life improvements under Supervisor Panico’s leadership (official website). Brookhaven continues to offer accessible programs and facilities for Suffolk County residents (official website).
