Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig have announced the completion of a paving project in Shirley, covering 18 roads. The project included drainage maintenance and the replacement of damaged concrete aprons and curbing, which cost about $600,000. After these repairs, resurfacing was carried out on Margin Drive West, Carmen View Drive, Woodchuck Court, Coraci Boulevard, Cotton Tail Court, Fox Hollow Drive, Pheasant Way, Quail Run, Deer Path, Acolade Drive W, Arpage Drive W, Smith Road, Robinwood Drive, Hurstwood Road, Wellwood Drive, Sagewood Drive, Baywood Drive and Thornwood Drive. The total cost for the paving project was approximately $1.9 million.
“This paving project north of Golden Gate Drive built upon resurfacing we completed in the area last year,” said Losquadro. “We continue to move through the Town, improving infrastructure one roadway at a time.”
Councilwoman Dunne Kesnig said: “If we had an unlimited budget all roads in Brookhaven could look as pristine as the newly paved road on Margin Drive West; great job by our highway department.”
