Farmingville, NY – Brookhaven Town Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich has announced the relocation of a glass recycling site in the Stony Brook/Setauket area. The new location, established in partnership with the Three Village Central School District, is now at 200 Nicolls Rd, Stony Brook, NY 11790. This change comes as the Setauket Fire Department is no longer part of the program.

Councilmember Kornreich stated, “Our district is committed to recycling as much as we can to safeguard the future of our environment. I thank the Three Village Central School District for partnering with the Town to bring this service to the community.”

The drop-off site on Nicolls Road is one of fifteen glass recycling locations throughout Brookhaven. Other sites include West Meadow Beach, Percy Raynor Park, and New Village Recreation Center.

Only glass bottles and jars are accepted at these drop-off points. Items such as plate glass, mirrors, ceramics, and other large glass items should adhere to the Town’s bulk collection rules.
