The Town of Brookhaven’s Department of General Services, Division of Women’s Services, will hold its 16th Annual Women’s Services Conference on Saturday, October 4. The event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the second-floor auditorium of Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville.

Check-in and breakfast for attendees will begin at 8:00 a.m. Registration is open until October 1, but space is limited.

Supervisor Daniel J. Panico said, “The mission of the Women’s Conference is to create a space where women can learn, connect and be empowered by one another. We want every participant to leave feeling confident and inspired about the next chapter in their lives.”

This year’s conference theme is “Ageless and Unstoppable: Rethink, Reshape, Refocus.” The program includes workshops and activities designed to help women navigate new phases in life and refocus at different stages.

Scheduled highlights include keynote speaker comedian Maria Walsh; a session titled “The Sandwich Generation – Navigating the Next Chapter – Your Kids and Your Parents” presented by Anne-Marie Conner, owner of Angel Home Care, Inc.; a decluttering workshop led by Vinnie Giacalone, founder of The Organized Guy; and an activity called “Get Up and Move!” with professional boxer Johnathan Arroyo.

Tickets for the event are $10 each and are non-refundable. Those interested can register online or contact Sharon Boyd, Director of Women’s Services, at 631-451-6146 for more information.
