Farmingville, NY – On Saturday, May 17, the Town of Brookhaven’s Department of General Services organized the Fifth Annual Health and Wellness Fair. Nearly 60 businesses, hospital groups, and governmental agencies participated in providing residents with information about available services and resources in Brookhaven Town. Attendees received free giveaways and resources aimed at improving their quality of life. JVC Broadcasting conducted live interviews with representatives from participating organizations on 103.9 LI News Radio.

Supervisor Daniel J. Panico expressed gratitude towards JVC Broadcasting for promoting the event on Long Island radio stations and acknowledged ShopRite in Selden and Stop & Shop in Farmingville for supplying healthy snacks to attendees. He stated, “We have received great feedback from both residents and participating organizations about the benefits the Health and Wellness Fair provides and I’m happy to know this fair has become a reliable resource for the Brookhaven community.”

The event featured a diverse range of vendors including Aetna Better Health, Al-Anon Suffolk Information Services, Amber Court Assisted Living, Association for Mental Health & Wellness, Blume Communities, Body20 Miller Place, Brightview Senior Living, Cirigliano Agency, Clear Captions, Clear View Mental Health Counseling PLLC, Compassionate Talk Therapy among others.

The list also included notable participants such as Mather Medical Group/Wound Treatment Center, New York Cancer & Blood Specialists, NYU Langone Health along with several local government departments like SC Dept. of Health Perinatal Health Services and SC Police Department.

This annual event continues to be an important fixture in the community calendar by connecting residents with vital health services.
