The Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau is offering local teenagers an opportunity to attend their prom through the INTERFACE Program’s Prom Boutique. The initiative provides free prom gowns and accessories for students who may face financial challenges, allowing them to participate in this significant event.

Located on the second floor of Brookhaven Town Hall, the Prom Boutique is set up like a traditional dress shop with a range of gown styles and sizes available. Students can select both gowns and accessories, which they keep after their visit.

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico said, “The cost of attending prom continues to rise. This program ensures that students can enjoy this important milestone feeling proud of how they look and focused on making lasting memories.”

Participation in the program is confidential and comes at no cost to families. Appointments are required to visit the boutique, which will be open from March 10 through June 12, 2026, during daytime hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Additional evening hours are scheduled for March 31, April 21, May 5, May 19, and June 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

INTERFACE operates as a partnership involving individuals, businesses, not-for-profit agencies, and community organizations working with the Town of Brookhaven to support residents facing hardship by providing goods and services as well as addressing social issues. About 100 corporations and organizations participate in INTERFACE programs.
