On August 5, Brookhaven Town Clerk Kevin LaValle and Councilman Neil Manzella hosted the annual National Night Out at the Centereach Pool Complex. This year’s event drew an estimated 3,000 attendees, making it the largest National Night Out gathering in Brookhaven to date.
The event aimed to foster stronger connections between residents and local law enforcement in a community setting. Over 50 vendors participated, distributing giveaways to those in attendance. Activities included swimming at the pool, food trucks offering various options, and a touch-a-truck area with interactive experiences for families.
Brookhaven Parks Department provided the venue for the celebration. Organizers expressed appreciation for both the department’s support and community participation.
Town Clerk LaValle stated, “This celebration keeps getting bigger every year. It really brings the community together. People from all over come out to enjoy themselves. Truly, it’s the most anticipated event of the year.”
Councilman Manzella added, “This event grows year after year. The community loves it. Everybody comes out and has a great time. It is the highlight of the year, I would say.”
The offices of Town Clerk LaValle and Councilman Manzella are located at Brookhaven Town Hall on One Independence Hill in Farmingville. Additional information is available by calling 631-451-8696.
