At the February 8 Town Board meeting, Councilman Kevin LaValle recognized Nathan’s Famous and Ashley’s Ice Cream in Ronkonkoma as Business of the Month for February in Council District 3. The award is given to businesses that have a positive impact on the community. Carlos Patterson, who owns and manages the business, has been at the location for two years and actively participates in community events. His support during the Centereach Civic Association’s annual street fair led to his nomination for this recognition.

Councilman LaValle stated, “I am pleased to honor Nathan’s Famous and Ashley’s Ice Cream as the February Business of the Month in Council District 3. Carlos has helped to make Brookhaven Town a better place to live and I thank him for his community service.”

The event was attended by several town officials, including Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright, Councilwoman Jane Bonner, Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilman Neil Foley, Councilman Michael Loguercio, and Councilman Dan Panico.

The Town of Brookhaven Town Council supports local businesses and resident well-being through development initiatives and community programs.
