On June 22nd, Councilwoman Jane Bonner attended the 20th Annual Blessing of the Fleet at Mount Sinai Yacht Club. The event celebrated Long Island’s boating community and marked the beginning of the boating season. The gathering included club members, clergy, and local residents.

Councilwoman Bonner expressed her appreciation for the tradition: “It is always a pleasure to take part in this community tradition,” she said. She emphasized that the event celebrates coastal life while highlighting safety and stewardship of waterways.

The councilwoman acknowledged the dedication of Mount Sinai Yacht Club for maintaining this event over two decades.
