Councilwoman Jane Bonner attended the demolition of a fire damaged structure at 1 Jessica Lane in Mount Sinai on April 6, marking a step toward improving safety and the appearance of the neighborhood.
The property had been significantly damaged by fire and was considered uninhabitable. After the incident, it became a concern for local residents and affected the community’s quality of life.
“After the fire left this property unsafe and unlivable, it became a concern for the entire community,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “With its demolition, we are turning the page and taking a meaningful step toward improving the quality of life for the surrounding neighborhood.”
