Farmingville, NY – On May 31st, Councilwoman Jane Bonner joined families and community members to honor four young men from Troop 204 who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. The ceremony recognized Anders Dalberg, Nicholas Comito, Aidan Elder, and Jeremy Westerlund for their service projects that enhanced local community spaces.

Councilwoman Bonner awarded each scout an official proclamation from the Town of Brookhaven. She stated, “The Eagle Scout rank represents the highest level of achievement in Scouting, and these young men have truly earned it through their incredible service and commitment.”

Anders Dalberg worked at the Warrior Ranch Foundation to improve facilities for veterans, first responders, and rescued horses. His contributions included installing fly traps, building frames for tarps to provide shade, and setting up swing boom arms for training sessions.

Nicholas Comito focused on the Greenway Trail in Port Jefferson – Setauket by installing reflectors along the trail for better visibility and safety. He also poured concrete pads near benches for wheelchair access and cleaned up trash along the trail.

Aidan Elder served St. Anthony of Padua Church CYO Fields by designing a new information kiosk and installing handicap parking signs. He refreshed planter boxes and restored statues on the property.

Jeremy Westerlund improved Trinity Lutheran Church’s nursery school outdoor space by creating a handicap-accessible picnic area with ADA-compliant tables. He also built an interactive music wall for children’s play.

Councilwoman Bonner highlighted the importance of leadership among youth and praised the scouts’ initiative.
