Congressman Nick LaLota, representing New York’s 1st district, has been active on social media, addressing key issues and offering services to his constituents. Serving in Congress since 2023, LaLota has succeeded Lee Zeldin and continues to engage with the public through various platforms.

On June 7, 2025, Congressman LaLota commented on the importance of the “$40K SALT deal” as a critical component of what he described as a “1,000+ page One Big Beautiful Bill.” He expressed concern that if the Senate were to remove this provision, it could destabilize the entire legislative framework. He emphasized maintaining minimal changes to ensure substantial relief for Long Island. “The $40K SALT deal is a key thread in the 1,000+ page One Big Beautiful Bill. If the Senate pulls it, the whole framework could fall apart. They should keep changes minimal so we can deliver real relief to LONG ISLAND.”

Later that day, LaLota extended an invitation to those planning trips to Washington D.C., highlighting his team’s ability to assist with tours of significant landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol and potentially even the White House and Supreme Court with adequate notice. He encouraged constituents to make their visits memorable by starting their plans through his office’s resources. “Planning a trip to D.C.? My team can help with tours of the U.S. Capitol—and with enough notice, even the White House & Supreme Court. Make your visit memorable! Start here: https://t.co/73sK9n5OcI”

In another post dated June 8, 2025, Congressman LaLota expressed his concerns regarding attacks on DHS and ICE officers by anarchists. He called for prosecutors to gather video evidence and ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.“Praying for the safety of our DHS and ICE officers. They already face enough danger without being attacked by anarchists. Prosecutors must gather video evidence and hold the perpetrators fully accountable.”

Nick LaLota was born in Bay Shore, New York in 1978 and currently resides in Amityville at age 44.
