On May 3, 2025, Congressman LaLota announced the successful conclusion of a case involving immigration. He stated, “Another case closed! Thanks to my team, Yousaf Naseer’s mother-in-law from Middle Island is now a U.S. citizen.” He also encouraged those needing assistance with federal agencies to reach out for help.

Later that day, LaLota addressed the issue of high taxes faced by Long Islanders. In his tweet, he remarked, “Long Islanders pay the highest taxes in the nation. Albany must do more—but so must Washington.” He emphasized his commitment to advocating for more State and Local Tax (SALT) relief.

Nick LaLota was born in Bay Shore, New York in 1978 and currently resides in Amityville at age 44.
