Congressman Nick LaLota, who represents New York’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on social media highlighting federal investments and personal milestones.

On September 3, 2025, LaLota commented on national economic policy, stating: “President Trump’s newly negotiated trade deals support jobs and grow the economy, leveling the playing field and allowing American workers to compete.”

Later that day, he announced new federal funding for local infrastructure projects: “Proud to deliver $2M+ in federal funding for upgrades at Gabreski Airport & Elizabeth Field. These investments will create jobs, improve safety & modernize facilities. Long Islanders deserve its fair share—and I’ll keep fighting to make sure we get it.” The announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts by local representatives to secure resources for regional development.

On September 4, 2025, LaLota shared a personal update regarding his military background: “Great to catch up with my Naval Academy classmates on the Hill. The ‘boat school’ taught us to serve, lead & live up to its mission. Excited for our 25th reunion this weekend! ️ https://t.co/6EydXTevcx”

Nick LaLota has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Lee Zeldin. He was born in Bay Shore, New York in 1978 and currently resides in Amityville. His recent posts reflect both his legislative priorities—such as securing infrastructure funding—and his continued ties to military service and education.
