Congressman Nick LaLota, who represents New York’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his social media accounts about both personal and legislative activities.
On July 15, 2025, LaLota posted a photo with the caption “Bring your daughter to work day! https://t.co/M1MgSSQhO0”.
The following day, he highlighted a financial milestone achieved by his office: “Just hit a major milestone: $11.3M returned to Suffolk County residents through casework with the IRS, VA, Social Security & more. Plus, $2–8K in annual SALT relief I helped deliver through the One Big Bill. Need help? Call my office or visit https://t.co/D5IWQ9QjP8 https://t.co/K2kPVcmxYM” (July 16, 2025).
Later that same day, LaLota addressed concerns over international trade practices affecting local employment: “China is dodging U.S. tariffs by rerouting goods through other countries—cheating tariffs and harming American workers. It’s time to crack down on this fraud and protect Long Island jobs.”
Nick LaLota has served as the congressional representative for New York’s 1st District since 2023 after succeeding Lee Zeldin. Born in Bay Shore in 1978 and currently residing in Amityville, LaLota has focused his legislative efforts on constituent services and economic issues relevant to his district.
