Long Island, NY – New York State Senate Republicans organized a roundtable discussion aimed at tackling the affordability challenges facing residents across the state. The event focused on listening to concerns from both the public and various community stakeholders in order to explore potential solutions.

Participants discussed a range of issues affecting New Yorkers, including rising costs for heating, food, mortgages, and auto insurance. Organizers emphasized the importance of gathering input from people with diverse backgrounds and opinions.

“We know that New Yorkers are struggling to keep up with skyrocketing costs. Throughout the discussion, we listened to the concerns of the public and community stakeholders to determine solutions and provide relief. Whether it’s heating their home, paying for food, the cost of their mortgage or their auto insurance, the issue of affordability touches people in different ways. This is why it was important that we heard from a variety of people with diverse opinions. By doing so we were able to get many great suggestions as to how we can possibly help,” stated organizers.

The roundtable is part of ongoing efforts by Senate Republicans to address economic pressures on families throughout New York State.
