The Smithtown Fire Department is inviting young adults to learn about its Explorer Post 420 program at an open house scheduled for January 9, 2025. The program is designed for individuals between the ages of 14 and 18 who are interested in learning firefighting skills, first aid, CPR, and supporting department events.
According to the department, “The Explorers are a group of the Smithtown Fire Department where young adults, ages 14 through 18, can get together and learn about firefighting skills, first aid, CPR, and assist with department events. Interested in joining? Come down to the Smithtown Fire Department on January 9, 2025, for an open house.”
The event will be held at the Smithtown Fire Department’s main location. Those interested in participating or learning more about the Explorer Post 420 program are encouraged to attend.
