Stony Brook Southampton Hospital will serve as the Lead Gold Sponsor for the 2025 Hampton Bays San Gennaro Festival, scheduled for September 13 and 14 in downtown Hampton Bays on Good Ground Road.

The hospital is dedicating its sponsorship to honor frontline workers, including members of the Fire Department, Emergency Medical Technicians, Ambulance Corps, Police Department, and other essential first responders.

“Our frontline heroes are the heart of every community,” said Emily Mastaler, Chief Administrative Officer, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. “Their courage, selflessness and tire less dedication inspire us every day. We are honored to support the San Gennaro Festival’s mission of supporting essential community services.”

The festival is a longstanding local event that celebrates Italian heritage and supports local businesses. It features food vendors, music, and activities for families. Organizers expect up to 20,000 visitors at this year’s event.

“We are honored to have Stony Brook Southampton Hospital as a Lead Gold Sponsor,” said Rick Martel, Organizer of the Hampton Bays San Gennaro Festival. “Their commitment to recognizing our frontline workers exemplifies the local spirit of this event, which is to support our community services.” The festival is free and open to all attendees on September 13-14 in downtown Hampton Bays. At the event, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital will host a tent featuring resident physicians and information about hospital services and technologies. Special giveaways will be provided for frontline workers.

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital has 120 beds and employs more than 1,200 people on Long Island’s South Fork. The hospital offers primary care as well as specialized surgical procedures such as cardiac catheterization and orthopedics. It is designated as a Level III Trauma Center and primary stroke center for the region. Additional facilities include an emergency department in East Hampton, cancer care centers, a breast health center, wound healing center, wellness institute, and multiple satellite care centers throughout the area.
