Stony Brook home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Stony Brook rose by $47,500 while total sales increased by 16.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 50 homes sold, with a median sale price of $457,500 - a 11.6% increase over the $410,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 43 homes sold in Stony Brook in the fourth quarter of 2016.
