Of the 739 people living in Amagansett in 2019, 53.6 percent (396) were women and 46.4 percent (343) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Suffolk Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 182-to-181. In the 65 and over age range, there were 197 females and 125 males.
