Of the 1,860 people living in Water Mill in 2020, 55.1 percent (1,024) were women and 44.9 percent (836) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Suffolk Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 94. In the 65 and over age range, there were 361 females and 136 males.
