Of the 763 people living in Shelter Island Heights in 2020, 33.9 percent (259) were women and 66.1 percent (504) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Suffolk Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 110. In the 65 and over age range, there were 163 females and 298 males.
