Of the 24,613 people living in Medford in 2020, 51.4 percent (12,653) were women and 48.6 percent (11,960) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Suffolk Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 440. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,411 females and 2,024 males.
