Schaefer's Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Schaefer's Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

New York lost 1,766 soldiers in the Korean war and 2,646 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 2160B Jericho Tpke., Commack will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Elwood-Commack Memorial Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Schaefer's Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Schaefer's Ace Hardware is located at 2160B Jericho Tpke., Commack, New York. This location is owned by Cristy Schaefer, represented by Tom Scarola and managed by Cristy Schaefer.
