Deer Park: 2 patents granted in week ending December 25

There were two patents granted in Deer Park in the week ending December 25, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is two more than the week before. Patents included a baby chair that is assembled and disassembled.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending December 25 belonged to Victor Nelson who filed in September 17, 2018.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
