Under the Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) program, homeowners may qualify for grants up to $50,000 for health and safety-related repairs not covered by insurance or other disaster relief programs. Eligibility requires that applicants occupy the home as their primary residence and have a total household income not exceeding 150 percent of the area median income.
