On December 2, 2024, LaLota expressed grief over the murder of Omer Neutra, stating "The news that Omer Neutra was murdered and won’t return to Long Island is devastating. Taken hostage by Hamas, Omer was murdered after bravely defending the values and nation he loved. We will never forget him. America must continue to stand with Israel and against Hamas."
