Nick LaLota addresses Pearl Harbor remembrance and legislative achievements

Congressman Nick LaLota, representing New York's 1st district since 2023, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing various national issues. Born in Bay Shore, New York, and currently residing in Amityville, LaLota continues to engage with constituents through social media.

On December 7, 2024, Congressman LaLota commemorated the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. He stated: "Today, we honor the heroes of Pearl Harbor. On December 7, 1941, a devastating attack shook our nation, but the courage of those who defended America inspires us to this day. We remember their sacrifice and stand committed to peace through strength and freedom."

The following day, on December 8, 2024, he expressed his support for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). In his tweet he mentioned: "This year’s NDAA strengthens our military’s dominance, improves quality of life, accelerates modernization, and enhances deterrence against adversaries. Proud of my team’s work and input on this vital bill!"

Later that same day, Congressman LaLota discussed healthcare innovation after meeting with Dr. Bill Wertheim from Stony Brook Medicine. He tweeted: "Great conversation with Dr. Bill Wertheim of Stony Brook Medicine about advancing healthcare innovation and protecting vital Medicaid funding. My bipartisan Save Our Safety-Net Hospitals Act will help ensure hospitals like Stony Brook get the support they need to care for Long…"
