The William Floyd High School Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) has been awarded a $500 mini-grant by the Hauppauge LGBT Network. The grant was presented by Nichole Descalzo, the program manager of the LGBT Network, during a recent meeting with club members.
Jackie Searing and Kerry Skadl, advisors to the GSA, lead the group. Ms. Searing expressed that the funds will be allocated for scholarships and fundraising initiatives.
