Due to anticipated weather conditions, the William Floyd School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, February 12. The Floyd Academy will also follow this delayed schedule.

Students who take a bus should report to their stops two hours later than usual. Those who are dropped off or use their own transportation should arrive at school two hours later as well. Upon arrival, high school and middle school students will go directly to their first period class with slightly shortened periods to ensure attendance in all classes. Breakfast and lunch services will be available, and schools will dismiss at regular times.

After-school activities are expected to proceed as planned, but parents are advised to check with their child's coach or advisor for specific details. All before-school activities and clubs have been canceled.

For UPK programs, parents should contact their child’s teacher or provider directly as these programs run on separate schedules. The William Floyd High School Equivalency Program (GED) and the Occupational Education program at Milliken Technical Center and Bixhorn Technical Center have been canceled. Students attending these technical programs should look for buses starting at 10:15 am for an 11:15 am arrival at the high school. Meanwhile, the Floyd Academy Interim Placement will continue as normal.

The community will be notified promptly if there are any changes such as a delayed opening becoming a closing.
