Suffolk County Community College announces 2026 student art exhibition dates and details

Suffolk County Community College announced on April 9 that its Michael J. Grant Campus will host the 2026 Student Art Exhibition at the Sagtikos Art Gallery from April 22 through May 8. The event will feature artwork created by current students, showcasing a range of creative and artistic accomplishments in various mediums.

The college said the opening reception and awards presentation are scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with light refreshments available. The exhibition is open to visitors Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free, and those interested can call (631) 851-6380 for more information.

According to Suffolk County Community College, it is the largest community college in the State University of New York system, enrolling over 26,000 students in more than one hundred degree and certificate programs. The college also reports having approximately one hundred forty-five thousand alumni dedicated to meeting regional workforce needs.

The upcoming exhibition aims to highlight both individual student talent and the broader commitment of Suffolk County Community College to arts education within its curriculum.

As the event approaches, organizers encourage members of the community as well as prospective students and families to attend and experience firsthand the creativity fostered at Suffolk County Community College.
