Suffolk County Community College has announced its Theatre Arts Program and Lively Arts Series schedule for the fall 2025 season. The lineup includes a variety of performances, from musical tributes to student concerts, across its Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood and Ammerman Campus in Selden.

The season opens with “Almost Selena,” a tribute band performance celebrating the music of Selena, on September 27 at the Van Nostrand Theatre on the Michael J. Grant Campus.

“Mere Mortals” by David Ives, directed by Bryan Kimmelman, will be staged at Theatre 119 in the Islip Arts Building on the Ammerman Campus. Performances are scheduled for October 9-11 and 16-18 at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on October 12 and 19 at 2:00 p.m.

On November 2, “Canine Circus,” a comedy featuring performing dogs, will take place at the Van Nostrand Theatre.

“Urinetown – The Musical” by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, directed by Steven Lantz-Gefroh, is set for November 14, 15, 19-22 at 7:30 p.m., with additional shows on November 16 and 23 at 2:00 p.m. These performances will be held at Shea Theatre in the Islip Arts Building on the Ammerman Campus.

An “Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration” is scheduled for December 7 at the Van Nostrand Theatre. The event will feature music, acrobatics, and dance.

Winter Music Concerts are planned for December 11 and 12 at Shea Theatre. These student concerts are free and open to the public.
