Susan Lee, MD, has been elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians (ACP). Dr. Lee is a professor of clinical medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She also serves as the medical director of Stony Brook Primary Care and deputy chief of the Medical Information Office at Stony Brook Medicine.
The ACP’s Board of Regents is responsible for policy-making within the organization. The ACP is a national body that includes internal medicine physicians, related subspecialists, and medical students focused on adult care.
Dr. Lee was named a Fellow of the ACP in 2011, an honorary title recognizing her service and contributions to internal medicine. Her previous roles include being part of the executive committee of the board of governors and participating in the immunization committee during the 2021-22 term. In 2021, she was elected governor of the New York Long Island Chapter of ACP. She has supported ACP’s immunization efforts by introducing practices to “I Raise the Rates New York.”
Dr. Lee has been with Stony Brook Medicine since 1997. She earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital at Cornell University in 1994.
