Susan Lee, MD, FACP, has been elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians (ACP). Dr. Lee holds several roles at Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine, including Professor of Clinical Medicine, Medical Director of Stony Brook Primary Care, and Deputy Chief of the Medical Information Office.
The ACP is a national organization composed of internal medicine physicians, subspecialists, and medical students focusing on adult care. The Board of Regents serves as the primary policy-making body for the organization.
Dr. Lee’s history with the ACP includes being named a Fellow in 2011, an honorary designation recognizing her contributions to internal medicine. She has served on various committees within the ACP, including the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors and the Immunization Committee for 2021-22. In 2021, she was elected Governor of the New York Long Island Chapter and contributed to immunization initiatives like “I Raise the Rates New York.”
Since 1997, Dr. Lee has practiced at Stony Brook Medicine. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital at Cornell University in 1994.
