The Town of Brookhaven Women’s Services Division is launching the Career EDGE Job Readiness series, a free program aimed at helping unemployed and under-employed women improve their professional skills. The sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from September 9 to October 8, 2025, at two locations: Sachem Library in Holbrook and Mastic Moriches Shirley Library in Shirley.
Women interested in participating can register online at BrookhavenNY.gov/CareerEdge and must select their preferred location. The program is sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven and presented by Dress for Success Brookhaven. There is no cost to attend.
According to organizers, “The Dress for Success Career EDGE job Readiness program is a seminar series for women seeking employment. It provides the opportunity to work with a great network of professional women, businesspeople and expert speakers and is designed to meet the needs of women in our area who are ready to make a move and get the right job.”
Participants will engage in weekly training sessions that include one-on-one career coaching, resume building, interview preparation, networking tools such as LinkedIn, and access to a Dress for Success professional suiting experience. The program also offers support through group networking opportunities.
Space is limited, so early registration is recommended. For more information about the Career EDGE Job Readiness series, contact Dress for Success Brookhaven by email or phone.
