The William Floyd girls’ varsity swimming team is preparing for the 2025 season under the direction of head coach Taylor Connor. The team includes returning athletes from last year and new swimmers, some of whom come from the Center Moriches School District.

Coach Connor said her focus is on helping the team achieve its best results during meets. “My goal this season is to bring on a competitive edge at our meets and get the girls pumped up to race the other teams and get some personal records and wins,” said Coach Connor.

A relay group featuring seniors Kya Cuevas, Joslyn Lawrence, Reese Winter, and Center Moriches swimmer Keira Sckipp has been highlighted as a strong point for the squad this year.

The Colonials will open their season with a home meet against Sayville/Blue Point at the Brookhaven Aquatic Center on Thursday, September 4 at 5 pm.
