William Floyd High School celebrated its 66th commencement ceremony on June 28, marking the graduation of approximately 800 students. Family and friends gathered to witness the event, which was also available via livestream for those unable to attend in person.

The ceremony began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Student Government President Olivia Phillips. This was followed by the Presentation of Colors by the William Floyd High School NJROTC under Senior Chief Andrew DiDonato’s leadership. The graduating seniors of the William Floyd High School Chorus, directed by Donia Rivera, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Valedictorian Alice Chen and salutatorian Rachel Chen addressed their fellow graduates during the ceremony. Board of Education President April Coppola acknowledged students who have enlisted in the Armed Forces, expressing gratitude for their future service. Superintendent Kevin M. Coster, Principal Philip Scotto, and Floyd Academy Principal John DeBenedetto also delivered remarks.

The Mastic Beach Fire Department contributed to the occasion by displaying a large American flag behind the stage.
