Junior and senior female students from William Floyd High School recently participated in a “Women in Business” workshop. The event was organized by Jacqueline Giacalone, chairperson of the school’s business department. The aim was to inspire young women by introducing them to accomplished professionals Holly Rae Felicetta and Marina Mentzel.

Holly Rae Felicetta holds a dual MBA in international business and marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. With over 15 years of experience, she has been involved in various startups and large organizations. Currently, she is a senior partner and general manager at Holding Company (Holdco) The Inflection.

Marina Mentzel is the founder and CEO of urSwim, recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in the northeast. She graduated from the 2024 LBAN Business Scaling Program at Stanford University and has been part of other prestigious programs like the Tory Burch Foundation Fellowship.

During the workshop, both speakers shared insights into their career paths and professional development efforts. They explained their roles within their businesses and engaged with students through discussions on career advice, managing pressures, and thriving in male-dominated fields.

The session concluded with Holly and Marina providing their contact information for future professional guidance, aiming to support students as they pursue successful careers.
