William Floyd High School is set to administer the New York State Regents Examinations on several dates in June 2025. The exams are scheduled for June 10, June 11, June 17, June 18, June 20, June 24, and June 25. To accommodate these examinations, the school will implement a specific testing schedule along with a modified transportation schedule. Details regarding bus schedules have been provided separately.

Classes will conclude on June 16, 2025. Additionally, schools will remain closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

The school emphasizes the importance of maintaining optimal conditions for test-taking. As such, students will undergo searches upon entering the building using detectors. They are instructed to bring only necessary test materials; backpacks and pocketbooks will be confiscated.

According to the New York State Education Department guidelines, cell phones and electronic devices are prohibited within the building during exam days. Any such items brought into the premises will be confiscated and can only be retrieved by a parent or guardian from the High School Main Office between 8 am and 3:30 pm.

Furthermore, “the use of any communications device is strictly prohibited.” If a student enters an exam room with a phone or electronic device, their examination results may be invalidated. Parents are urged to ensure that their children do not bring these items on exam days.

There are no provisions for make-up exams; students must attend their exams at designated times and remain for the entire three-hour period allotted for each Regents exam. Cold grab-and-go food options will be available before exams commence.

For those taking school buses, students should arrive at their assigned stops at regular times for morning exams and by 11:15 am for afternoon sessions.

Passing multiple Regents examinations is required by the New York State Education Department to receive a high school diploma. Therefore, attendance at these exams is crucial as failure to meet requirements could affect graduation eligibility. Students or parents with questions about state-mandated testing should contact guidance counselors.

For further concerns regarding this information or other details mentioned in this communication, contact can be made through either the high school office at (631)874-1177 or through individual guidance counselors at (631)874-1130.
