The William Floyd School District announced on Apr. 9 that students entering kindergarten through sixth grade for the 2026-27 school year can participate in a range of summer enrichment programs offered by SCOPE Education Services at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School.

These summer opportunities provide families with parent-paid weekly programs, including morning and afternoon enrichment sessions as well as a musical theater program celebrating America’s 250th birthday. The district said there are discounts available for families registering for both morning and afternoon sessions or enrolling multiple children.

The Summer Morning Enrichment runs from July 6 to July 17, Monday through Friday, and includes activities such as culinary adventures, STEM engineering challenges focused on amusement park rides, circus-themed art projects, and fitness games inspired by American traditions. Afternoon Enrichment is available from July 6 to July 31 and features daily rotations through STEM lessons, fine arts activities, and physical movement classes. Students attending both sessions will be supervised during lunch between programs.

A special two-week program called “Summer Stars, Stripes & Showtunes” will take place from July 20 to July 31. This Broadway-style musical theater course draws inspiration from iconic American productions like Annie and Hamilton while teaching acting, singing, movement skills, teamwork, and stagecraft. The session ends with an informal showcase for families highlighting patriotic themes.

The William Floyd School District serves more than 9,400 students across ten schools providing education from kindergarten through twelfth grade according to the official website. The district has been recognized for its collaborative efforts among students, parents, educators and community members to promote student development in intellectual, emotional and physical areas according to the official website.

William Floyd’s music program has earned accolades among top communities for music education while its business department was named Department of the Year by the Business Teachers Association of New York State according to the official website. Alumni have contributed significantly in scholarships and community service according to the official website.

Registration details are available online or by contacting SCOPE Education Services directly via email or phone. Refunds are subject to a processing fee if requested before July 1.
