The William Floyd School District has released its single-page calendar for the 2026-27 school year. According to the district, teachers will begin on Tuesday, September 1. Orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade students is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, and all students in grades K-12 will start classes on Thursday, September 3.

A full 24-page calendar with more detailed information is expected to be available in the summer.

The William Floyd School District serves over 9,400 students across ten schools in New York State, providing education from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district offers a range of programs including STEM courses, career and technical training, arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities.
