Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 21, 2020
Testing
- 142,800 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 3,623 tests*
- 27.0 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19
- 88,609 total tested positive for antibodies
- 38,553 total
- 142 new cases
- 11,461 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
- 453 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 15
- 129 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 5
- 22 new admissions
- 53 discharged
- 4,650 total discharged since March 22
- 11 new fatalities
- 1,802 total fatalities
- 2,937 total hospital beds; 886 available*
- 547 ICU beds; 192 available*
