Of the 13,222 people living in East Islip in 2019, 48.9 percent (6,469) were women and 51.1 percent (6,753) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Suffolk Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 4,198-to-4,035. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,102 females and 882 males.
