You never know when you will be called upon to save someone’s life.
Fortunately, a group of residents recently learned life-saving CPR skills. During a Spanish-Speaking community meeting in the Fifth Precinct, residents requested the SCPD to host a CPR class in Spanish. Police Officers Eileen Emiddio and Officer Mattias Ferreira joined Suffolk County Emergency Medical Services Officers Alex Trzepizur and Jason Byron in teaching the course to 20 people at the Patchogue-Medford Library on Wednesday night.
Upon completion, attendees received a CPR certification—but more importantly they now know how to save a life.
