It takes just one second to prevent you from being a victim of a stolen vehicle or items stolen from your vehicle.
The SCPD is urging residents to secure your vehicles when left unattended and close your windows and lock your doors.
Criminals go vehicle to vehicle searching for an unlocked vehicle so they can grab valuables from inside, or even take the vehicle if the key fob is left inside.
You can prevent this simply by locking your vehicle and removing all valuables.
