The data revealed that there were 66 new hospital admissions of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Suffolk County, with a 35.3% decrease from the previous week. The hospital admissions per 100k in the past week were reported at 2.3, indicating a low level of COVID-19 hospital admissions.

On April 18, 2024, 29 individuals were hospitalized in Suffolk County, with 69% of them being hospitalized due to COVID-19 or complications of the virus. Among them, 3 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Fatalities related to COVID-19 in Suffolk County as of April 18, 2024, reached a total of 5,279 since March 2020, with an increase of 1 since the last report. The annual fatality numbers show a decreasing trend over the years, with 2024 recording 133 fatalities to date.
