Wolfie has progressed to the third round of the SUNY Mascot Madness tournament after securing a victory against Privateer Pete from Maritime College in the second round. The next competition for Wolfie will be against Flick from Finger Lakes Community College.
The tournament allows fans to vote on the SUNY Mascot Madness website during each round. Additionally, starting at noon on Sunday, March 23, social voting will be available through SUNY's Instagram Story. Votes cast via Instagram Story will have double value and can be submitted for a 24-hour period.
Mascot Madness is an annual event that began in 2013, bringing together mascots from across the State University of New York (SUNY) system to determine the most popular mascot in New York according to fan votes. Wolfie has previously won this championship twice, echoing the format of the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament.
Supporters are encouraged to help Wolfie achieve his third championship title by participating in the voting process.
The tournament schedule includes Wolfie's previous victories in 2022 and 2023, where he defeated Oakie the Acorn from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in both finals.
Fans can follow all developments and show support using #wolfie and #MascotMadness on social media platforms.
