Every year, Americans pause to honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending the nation. Their acts of courage protect the rights and freedoms enjoyed by citizens, and their memories remain in hearts and minds.

In recognition of Memorial Day, Senator Mario R. Mattera expressed hope that individuals would take time to pay tribute to fallen heroes and acknowledge their families' sacrifices. "Thank you to all of our brave service men and women, and may God bless the United States of America," he stated.
