Suffolk County Education: Which district had most students enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year?

Brentwood Union Free School District had the highest enrollment among Suffolk County school districts, welcoming 18,571 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were Hispanic, making up 87.2% of Brentwood Union Free School District's total enrollment.

Among the 68 districts in Suffolk County, Sachem Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 12,052 students, while Middle Country Central School District welcomed 9,419 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Brentwood Union Free School District roughly covers schools within Suffolk County and has a main office in Brentwood.

In the previous school year, Brentwood Union Free School District also had the highest number of students among Suffolk County districts.
